Read Every Song.
In Every Script.

A small editorial team, a clear bar for what counts as a finished page, and a single promise to the reader: every lyric on this site has been read by a human before it ever shipped.

Who We Are

LyricTribe started from a frustration that almost every lyrics site shares the same flaw — words on a page, with no context, no translations, no editorial judgement, and no idea who actually wrote the page. The reader is left to guess whether the text is right, what the song means, who produced it, or why anyone should care. We are trying to fix that one song at a time.

The work pattern is straightforward. A page does not go live until a human has read the lyrics line by line, cross-checked the credits against the official label upload, written a meaning section in their own words, and added the metadata Google needs to surface the page for the queries that matter. Where applicable, every page carries the lyrics in three formats — the original script, a romanised reading, and an English translation — so a single URL works for any reader regardless of which script they read fluently.

The catalogue leans into the music we know best: Hindi film soundtracks, the Punjabi rap and folk-fusion scene, Haryanvi hip-hop, English crossovers with Indian features, and the wider South-Asian-diaspora pop universe. As the editorial team grows we add languages slowly and only when we can verify them properly. We would rather publish 500 strong pages than 5,000 forgettable ones.

Languages We Cover

Hindi Punjabi English Telugu Haryanvi Marathi Bhojpuri Korean Spanish Japanese Tamil Bengali Kannada Malayalam Gujarati

A song is a record of a moment — of who wrote it, who sang it, and what they were trying to say. The lyrics are only the surface. Our job is to keep the surface accurate and to give the reader everything underneath it.

What We Offer

🎵

Accurate Lyrics

Each lyric line is read against the official audio before publication. Where the artist or label has put out conflicting versions, we use the most-recent canonical release. Where the lyrics are submitted by a reader, an editor still reads them line by line before the page changes.

🌐

Multilingual Coverage

Three formats per page where the song's original language is not English: the native script (Gurmukhi or Devanagari most often), a Roman transliteration that reads phonetically, and an English translation that prioritises meaning over word-for-word literalism.

🎤

Artist Profiles

Every artist on the site has a dedicated profile — biography, discography, the social and streaming links you would actually want, and a running list of the catalogue we have published for them. New artists get added as new songs warrant.

💿

Album Tracklists

Album pages list the full tracklist with internal links to every song, plus the production credits that make the project make sense — producer, label, release date, the team behind the cover. The album page is meant to read as a record of the project, not just a list of titles.

📰

Music News & Insights

The editorial blog runs short-form pieces on new releases, behind-the-scenes context for the songs that are dominating playlists, and the stories of the people writing today's most-streamed lyrics. New posts go up when something is worth covering — not on a forced schedule.

🔎

Song Meanings & Context

The meaning section on every page is the part that took most of the editorial work. It explains what the song is actually about — the references, the artist's life context, the place in their catalogue, why it landed the way it did with the audience.

Why Trust LyricTribe?

Three commitments we make on every page — and that you can hold us to.

Editorially Verified

No song page goes live without a human editor signing off on the lyric text, the credits, and the meaning section. Reader submissions help us notice missing songs faster — they do not replace the editorial pass.

📚

Properly Sourced

Every credit on a song page — singer, lyricist, composer, producer, label, release date — traces back to the official upload or label press release. If we cannot verify a credit, we leave the field blank rather than guess.

🔒

DMCA Compliant

Lyrics on this site are presented for reading, learning and discussion under the doctrine of fair use. Rights holders who want a song removed or credited differently can email dmca@lyricstribe.com — every request gets a response within 48 hours.

Found a Song We Are Missing?

The catalogue grows in two ways: editorial picks (what the team decides to write next) and reader requests. If a song you wanted to read is not on the site, send it to us — we add reader requests to the priority queue.
