The LyricTribe chart ranks the most-read song lyrics on the site, ordered by total reader views and refreshed continuously as people open pages. The track at number one is simply the lyric page readers have opened the most. You can scan the full ranking below, or tap a genre pill to narrow it to a single style such as Bollywood, Pop or Desi Hip-Hop.

How is the LyricTribe chart ranked?

The chart is ranked by total reader views counted on this site. It does not use streaming counts, sales or social numbers. Every time someone opens a lyric page, that view adds to the song's running total, and the order rebuilds from those totals. The top three positions carry gold, silver and bronze badges, so the current leaders are easy to spot. Sapphire, the Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh collaboration, has been a fixture near the top since launch.

What the chart measures

Because the ranking is built on one clear signal, it is easy to read and hard to game. The table below shows exactly what feeds a song's position and what is left out.

SignalCounts toward ranking?
Reader page views on LyricTribeYes, the only ranking signal
Streaming plays (Spotify, YouTube)No
Sales and downloadsNo
Editorial or staff picksNo

How do the genre filters work?

The pills above the chart re-rank the list within a single style. Select Pop and the chart rebuilds to show only pop lyrics in view-order; clear it to return to the all-genres ranking. The filters mirror the tags on each song, so a track that carries two genres, like Eyes On Me under both Hip-Hop and Desi Hip-Hop, shows up in either filtered view. To explore by style more broadly, open the genres page, or jump across to artists and albums.

Frequently asked questions

How is the LyricTribe chart calculated?

The chart is calculated from total reader page views on LyricTribe. Each time a visitor opens a lyric page, the view adds to that song's running total, and songs are ordered from most to least viewed. It does not use streaming, sales or social data.

How often does the chart update?

The chart refreshes continuously rather than on a weekly cycle. As new reads come in through the day, positions shift in close to real time, so a song gaining attention can climb within hours instead of waiting for a fixed chart-day reset.

What do the gold, silver and bronze badges mean?

The badges mark the current top three. Number one carries the gold badge, number two silver and number three bronze. They are a quick cue for the leaders and update automatically as reader views change the order, so the medals can move between songs day to day.

Can I filter the chart by genre?

Yes. The genre pills above the list re-rank the chart within a single style, such as Bollywood, Pop or Desi Hip-Hop. Selecting a pill shows only songs tagged with that genre, in view-order. Clear the filter to return to the combined all-genres ranking.

Why is a song I expected not on the chart?

The chart only ranks lyric pages already published on LyricTribe, ordered by their on-site reads. A song that is huge elsewhere will not appear until its lyric page exists here and starts gathering views. You can request a missing track through the Submit Lyrics page.

Does the chart use streaming or sales numbers?

No. The ranking is built only from reader views on LyricTribe, so it reflects what visitors actually open here rather than external charts. That keeps the list transparent and tied to the lyrics people read, not to label-reported streaming or sales figures.
