Mithoon is an Indian music composer, arranger and lyricist who has built his reputation on emotionally heavy, melody-first ballads. His defining work is Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2 (2013), which he both wrote and composed — the song that made Arijit Singh a star and earned Mithoon a shared Filmfare Award for Best Music Director with Jeet Gannguli and Ankit Tiwari.
The pairing had history: Mithoon's "Phir Mohabbat" from Murder 2 (2011) was Arijit Singh's Hindi playback debut.
