Irshad Kamil is an Indian poet and film lyricist, widely regarded as one of the finest writers working in Hindi cinema. A PhD in Urdu poetry turned songwriter, he is the Filmfare-winning pen behind the soundtracks of Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Highway and Tamasha — a career-long collaboration with composer A.R.
