Who is Sunidhi Chauhan?
Sunidhi Chauhan, born on 14 August 1983 in New Delhi, is one of India's most powerful and versatile playback singers. A child prodigy, she won the talent show Meri Awaz Suno at just thirteen and made her film debut as a child singer in 1996, before her breakout with "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from Mast (1999) announced a major new voice.
Across the following decades she became Bollywood's go-to singer for high-energy, full-throated anthems and item numbers — "Dhoom Machale", "Crazy Kiya Re", "Beedi", "Sheila Ki Jawani", "Desi Girl" and "Aaja Nachle" among them — while proving equally at home with rock and tender romance. Widely seen on television as a reality-show judge and coach, she is married to music producer Hitesh Sonik.
On Tujhko from Cocktail 2 (2026), she reunites with Arijit Singh, Pritam and Amitabh Bhattacharya for a soft, classic Bollywood love duet.
